If you have a product or service to sell and you know it's a profitable one -- Perfect!  But if don't have a product or a service and aren't even sure what niche you want to be in, you will have to do your research.

It all starts with finding out what people are searching for on the internet.

From my experience working with niches and finding a profitable business I like to see at least 1000 searches a day for your keywords which is about 30,000 searches a month. Remember, your keywords will vary according to how users enter them, for example, people will search for watches on line several ways:

• watches, wrist watches
• wristwatches
• mens watches
• womens watches

...just to name a few, so all those all those words work together to make up your daily or monthly count.

I use Wordtracker to help me find keywords and tell me how many searches I can expect a day.

Once I find out what people are searching for, I get busy finding a good list of related keywords that I can use on my website and use for pay per click advertising sites like Google, Yahoo and other pay-per-click advertisers.
