Creating Web Site Content

When thinking about creating content for your affiliate marketing web site, think pre-selling.  Of course this will make a lot more sense if you read Ken Evoy's, Affiliate Masters Course, this is where you'll find out how to pre-sell to your viewers and also how to create content that compels your viewers to click on your links and buy.

Besides being able to effectively pre-sell, your website content has to do three things:

  • Be unique
  • Create interest
  • Be compelling

Uniqueness

The internet has grown immensely over the past ten years so in order to survive and generate sales you have to stand out among all the thousands of websites promoting the same or similar products as you.

But it's even more than that.  The search engines also rely on unique content, they want to see information that isn't found everywhere, they want to deliver interesting, informative ideas to their readers.

Create Interest

Your writing can't be dull.  Write with a little flair.  Say things that draw in attention.  This means creating headlines and titles that scream benefits.  Find what hits people's emotions and connect with it. The idea is to create enough interest in the beginning that they will continue to read on.

Be Compelling

Here's where you need to connect with the 'what's in it for me' that your reader is always thinking.  Relate to their needs then interest them in your solution.  Finally compel them to make the click to your products.

So how can you be unique, generate interest and be compelling?

Create  your own content in your own voice. Promote your thoughts, ideas and interests.  Make comments and write so that it promotes thought among your readers.  Anyone can list the 'best ways to lose weight' for example, but it's much more interesting if you can include personal experiences or unusual ideas with those best ways.

Here are some great ways to generate interesting unique web site content for your niche site:

- Write your own personal product reviews

- Comment on other product reviews you come across

- Write how to guide or tips

- Write articles on your opinions

- Do a case study on a product you have  used

- Conduct a survey and write about your findings

- Amusing or inspirational anecdotes, stories and quotes

- Comment on emails that you've received from readers or customers

- Conduct an interview with a prominent figure in your industry

If your still stuck try using Private Label Rights content.  This is content you can buy already written.  I don't however recommend using it exactly as you receive it.  Instead craft it with some of your own ideas and thoughts.  It's an idea way to get content fast and inexpensively.

I use and like PLR Niche Content.  It's a handy resource that appeals to several great unique niches. Plus it also comes with graphics, all for a very reasonable price.
